Printed Aluminium and sterling silver drop earrings - Rainbow

Hand painted and hand crafted Aluminium/sterling silver drop earrings.

These earrings are made with hand dyed/painted aluminium and sterling silver hook ear wires.

Aluminium discs - Hand painted with several colours. These mainly have lime green with blue/green and purple/pink. The way in which the colours are added to the metal creates a rainbow of colours. The discs have a slight curve to them.

Size- approximate overall drop is 3 cm. The width of the lower larger disc is 1.8 cm.

All my aluminium jewellery is created from small panels of hand printed and dyed aluminium. The process can be pretty random, building up layers of pattern in various colours before dip dying and adding dyes to the panel using a brush. Once steam sealed to prevent fading I then select areas of each panel to use in my designs.
